TPMS Australia is unique in the automotive aftermarket industry. Why? Unlike other companies that import an array of products, we have chosen to specialise in our field of expertise. All of the staff at TPMS Australia are fully trained tyre industry experts, each having at least 15 years of experience in either retail or wholesale car and truck tyres. This has given us a unique perspective into what the next phase of safety systems should be in relation to motor vehicles in this country, and how we could contribute. As a result of so much combined experience within the tyre industry, we have been fortunate to watch the progression of Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems over the past decade and the impact that they have had in saving countless lives around the world. When the Clinton administration passed the TREAD ACT in US Congress making TPMS mandatory in all new American passenger vehicles from 2007, the industry blossomed with new companies and technology. As a result of the American decision, TPMS will become mandatory in Europe from 2012 and China from 2013.
Unfortunately, Australia lags far behind with any sign of taking up this life saving technology. It is already available in some imported cars in our market, but we wanted to go further and develop a product unique to our needs and community.
